The "Saving a Soul" awareness campaign launched recently by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority has received a Guinness world record after succeeding, within 24 hours, in collecting 9,836 pledges through its website where participants pledged to learn first aid and how to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

Spokesman of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority Mr. Abdelaziz Al- Suwayni said that the campaign, which was held at Riyadh Front, witnessed big gathering from various segments of the society of both citizens and residents who showed true will to learn first aid and ways to use AEDs that the authority installed in several public places to contribute to saving souls.
