The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah region began today, Sunday, January 26, 2025, implementing the “Central Trainer” program, which aims to qualify educational staff in the region to become certified trainers in the “Life Ambassador” first aid program.
The program is conducted in three phases covering the education departments of Jeddah, Makkah, and Taif, as follows:
Phase One: Starts in the Jeddah Education Department, with training for male teachers in the first week, followed by female teachers in the second week.
Phase Two: Held at the Makkah Education Department, starting February 9, 2025, for female teachers, with male teacher training continuing on April 13, 2025.
Phase Three: Concludes at the Taif Education Department, starting April 20, 2025, lasting for two weeks.
Each training week lasts five days, totaling 25 training hours that include theoretical lectures and practical applications. Trainees undergo evaluations and tests under the supervision of the Training and Community Education Department of the Authority in Makkah. Successful participants receive a certificate accredited by the Authority.
The Central Trainer Program aims to empower educational staff to conduct “Life Ambassador” first aid courses in schools, contributing to the sustainable spread of first aid culture. This program is a pioneering step toward enhancing health and emergency awareness in educational environments, providing a safe educational setting that helps protect the lives of students and the school community in the Makkah region.
