The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Al-Baha region has increased its preparedness to face the rainy weather and changing conditions affecting the area on Saturday, January 25, 2025, by enhancing readiness and mobilizing all available resources.
The Director General of the Authority’s branch in Al-Baha, Mr. Sultan Saad Al-Malki, stated that the command and control room, ambulance centers, and volunteer teams are all at the highest levels of readiness according to the emergency plan.
The plan includes heightened preparedness in 16 ambulance centers, deployment of 17 ambulance teams, and 3 rapid response teams equipped with specialized crews including paramedics and emergency medicine technicians, all fully prepared.
The Authority urged citizens and residents to follow instructions issued by relevant authorities, exercise caution during weather fluctuations, and adhere to traffic safety rules to reduce accidents, especially during rainfall. It also warned against entering dangerous areas such as flood channels and water accumulation sites.
The Authority emphasized the importance of keeping away from accident sites and allowing emergency teams full access to ensure rapid and efficient medical care.
It also pointed out that the emergency number “997” and the "Asefni" app are available 24/7 to assist those in need during emergencies.
