This morning, Sunday, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority held its first workshop for emergency sector operations at the Al-Baha branch. The workshop was inaugurated by the Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al-Baha, Mr. Sultan bin Saad Al-Maliki.
During the meeting, the operational indicators for 2024 and the operational plans for the Red Crescent in the Saraha and Tihama sectors were reviewed. The workshop covered key topics to address challenges in various areas, most notably improving response times and managing critical and high-risk points. Discussions also included the deployment plans for emergency teams in both sectors, focusing on prioritizing high-need locations.
As part of enhancing readiness, a field visit to emergency centers was organized, alongside a review of the fleet and preventive patrols. The sectors’ regular meetings were also held. Emphasis was placed on updating emergency plans to ensure rapid and effective responses to all types of emergencies.
This workshop aligns with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s ongoing efforts to achieve the highest levels of preparedness and emergency response, and to develop the quality of services provided to citizens across all governorates.
The workshop was attended by the Assistant Director General for Emergency Operations, the Assistant Director General for Support and Logistics, emergency operations department managers, and senior paramedics from the Saraha and Tihama sectors.
