The Training and Community Education Department at the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah Region implemented during the past year, 2024, a total of 1,290 training and qualification programs, awareness lectures, and specialized community education booths, contributing to the training and qualification of 72,281 beneficiaries including citizens, residents, and medical and paramedical personnel in the region.
Additionally, the Authority organized 305 awareness lectures that benefited 56,682 individuals of both genders from various governmental, security, private sector entities, and schools.
The courses offered to citizens, residents, and the Authority’s emergency personnel included the “Life Ambassador” program for first aid, as well as specialized medical courses for paramedical and health staff in several governmental, security, and private sector organizations.
The Authority provides many specialized courses, most notably:
Basic Life Support Program (BLS)
Therapeutic protocols and First Responder training
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and Disaster Response Course
Infection Control, School Paramedic, and Cardiac Resuscitation
Quality of Pulmonary Resuscitation Course
Safe Leadership Course (PIT)
Through these qualifying training programs, the Authority seeks to raise the preparedness of its medical and emergency personnel, as well as the public—both citizens and residents—to contribute effectively to saving lives in the crucial initial moments of emergency cases, thus preventing complications or fatalities that may result from delayed medical emergency services.
The Authority invites citizens and residents to join the training programs offered through the “Muta’heb” platform, contributing to increased community awareness and participation in saving lives during emergencies.
