


As part of its efforts to raise community awareness and promote a culture of first aid, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in Al-Baha Region held a meeting between its Director, Mr. Sultan bin Saad Al-Maliki, and the Director of the Education Directorate in the region, Dr. Abdulkhaleq Hanash Al-Zahrani, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation.
The meeting emphasized the importance of spreading first aid skills among school staff and students, recognizing education as a key pillar in building a more aware and responsive society during emergencies. The discussion highlighted the need to empower both teachers and students with essential life-saving skills to ensure a safe and effective educational environment.
The meeting addressed several initiatives, including training school paramedics and strengthening the role of the central paramedic. It also included a review of the Moa’ath project, which aims to promote first aid
awareness and is being implemented across various schools in the region. In addition, the two sides explored plans to organize training programs targeting the school community to better prepare them for emergency situations and enhance their readiness during critical moments.
This meeting reflects the joint commitment of SRCA and the Al-Baha Education Directorate to fostering a culture of first aid within schools and improving the community’s ability to respond to emergencies with awareness and competence.
