The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in the Northern Borders Region has begun implementing the Moa’ath project, which aims to enhance emergency preparedness within government workplaces across the region. The Moa’ath team serves as the primary support for the targeted entities in ensuring a high level of confidence in emergency safety.
This is achieved by training staff on basic emergency skills and deploying automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for cases of cardiac and respiratory arrest within facilities, as well as facilitating access for ambulance teams to the patient’s location.
The project also includes designating dedicated ambulance parking areas upon arrival at the workplace when needed, and installing directional signage to help ease access to these services during emergencies.
The Director General of SRCA’s branch in the region, Mr. Musaed Ghali Al-Enezi, stated that the project seeks to achieve its intended goals by training government employees on essential first aid skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), handling choking cases, bleeding, and using the AED device.
This effort aims to foster a culture of medical safety within government work environments. Notably, the Moa’ath project marks an important step toward enhancing the capacity of government institutions to handle emergency situations and ensure rapid and effective response to preserve lives and protect public health.
