The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in Asir Region has raised its preparedness to face the rainy weather and its accompanying atmospheric changes across all cities and governorates of the region, including highways, to provide emergency and medical services to residents and visitors.
The Director General of SRCA’s branch in Asir, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shehri, confirmed that the command and control room, ambulance centers, and volunteer teams are operating at the highest levels of readiness according to a pre-prepared emergency plan.
The plan includes raising readiness at 41 ambulance centers, with 43 ambulance teams and 2 rapid response teams equipped with specialized crews of specialists, paramedics, and emergency medicine technicians.
The Authority urged citizens and residents to exercise caution and adhere to safety regulations, especially during rainfall, avoid dangerous areas, and keep pathways clear for ambulance teams to ensure a rapid response.
It also confirmed the availability of the emergency number “997” and the “Asifny” app, providing emergency service requests around the clock.
