The Command, Control, and Medical Dispatch Center of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Al-Baha region received a total of 13,621 emergency reports in 2024. These included medical emergencies and traffic accidents, with notable enhancements in response technologies and ambulance service performance.
The Authority indicated that the statistics reflected a variety of cases, with 10,794 classified as medical emergencies and 2,827 as traffic accident reports. Al-Baha city recorded the highest demand for medical services, with 2,600 medical cases and 664 traffic incidents. It was followed by Al-Mikhwah governorate with 1,154 medical and 328 traffic reports, and Baljurashi with 1,113 medical and 303 traffic reports.
The Authority reiterated its commitment to improving response times by raising community awareness about the importance of yielding to ambulances, avoiding crowding at accident scenes, and refraining from following emergency vehicles.
In this context, the Authority highlighted its advanced state of readiness, supported by a modern ambulance fleet equipped with the latest medical technologies. The fleet includes ambulances, four-wheel-drive vehicles, golf carts, motorcycles, and the “Uhud” multi-casualty response bus. The region operates 16 ambulance centers distributed across all governorates, with 22 operational units working around the clock to ensure timely emergency response.
