The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah region has announced its 2024 volunteer statistics, reporting a total of 42,699 male and female volunteers—24,502 males and 18,197 females.

According to the statistics, the total number of volunteer hours reached 324,362 hours, during which the Authority provided 3,821 volunteer opportunities. These opportunities included offering emergency medical services to visitors, pilgrims, and worshippers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, as well as participating in social, sports, and health-related volunteer work, in addition to national events, international days, exhibitions, and various public activities.

The Authority also conducted several awareness campaigns in high-traffic areas and participated in marine activities across the governorates of Jeddah and Al-Qunfudhah, as well as tourist areas in the Taif governorate. Furthermore, male and female volunteers conducted first aid training sessions to help qualify new volunteers.

The Authority emphasized its commitment to utilizing all human resources interested in volunteering to support the Kingdom’s development and align with the aspirations of its leadership. It continues to develop its volunteer workforce through specialized training programs to ensure their readiness and alignment with the Authority’s mission.

It also affirmed its dedication to offering a wide range of volunteer opportunities to the public in fields such as healthcare, humanitarian work, sports, environmental protection, and public awareness. The Authority takes pride in recruiting volunteers from the Makkah region and harnessing their energy and humanitarian spirit through the official Saudi Red Crescent volunteering platform.
